This week's super teacher is Jondria Thompson at Deerfield Beach High School. Jondria's taught there for 9 years and heads up the school's Urban Teacher Academy Program.
A Key component of the program's curriculum is public speaking. Mrs. Thompson believes that's an essential skill for her students' development.
And the students hone their public speaking skills while giving back to the community, mentoring local elementary and middle school students and helping them prepare for their futures.
