Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro are back at it again.
The pair, who starred with Emily Blunt in 2015’s Sicario, find themselves back in the middle of a violent war against drug cartels smuggling terrorists against the US border.
The war escalates even further when Del Toro’s character kidnaps a top kingpin’s daughter, played by Isabela Moner, to increase tensions. And if you didn’t see Sicario 1, the sequel is solid enough with its own storytelling.
Brolin and Del Toro have known each other for decades and have appeared in several movies together, including Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Inherent Vice.
Reports say producer Trent Luckinbill announced that we can expect Sicario 3 to happen, with the possible return of Emily Blunt.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado is out in theaters and its rated “R”.
