The E3 2019 Conference Recap

and last updated

At E3 the video game industry’s top talent, packed the Los Angeles Convention Center for three exciting days to show case never before-seen products.

This year’s E3 was so massive it broke the internet. Here are some of major games revealed at the conference:

First up, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.

The Star Wars games have been a miss lately. But with the new gameplay released from EA, Jedi Fallen Order looks promising. The gameplay introduces us to Cal Kestis, an ex-Padawan. He and his buddy BD-1, who's super cute, infiltrate an imperial facility.

We saw little bit of storyline and a little bit of action. And you don't have to wait long for this game. It was revealed that Star Wars Jedi The Fallen Order will be released on PS4, Xbox One and pc on November 15th, 2019.

Next up, Marvel's Avengers. After the success of Insomniac's Spiderman game, Marvel is now teaming up with Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix for Marvel's Avengers. Unlike Jedi Fallen Order, this one doesn't look promising. Although storyline looks intriguing, the character designs do not impress me. There was no gameplay revealed at the Square Enix Conference, but those who were at the E3 floor got gameplay footage and there has been mixed reactions about the game. Marvel's Avengers will be available to play on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and pc on May 15, 2020. (Sorry Nintendo fans.)

Lastly, one of the biggest game reveals at E3 2019: Cyberpunk 2077. It was teased in 2012 that Cyberpunk was coming. Last year gameplay was shown and now this year, this game is already anticipated to be the game of the year for 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 is about an urban mercenary called V and takes on dangerous jobs for money. We got a glimpse of the storyline where V finishes the job but loses his partner in doing so. But the major takeaway from the trailer we saw was the end where Keanu Reeves was revealed to be a character in the game.

And, yes, he was there to present the audience more footage and a release date! You can play Keanu’s character, Johnny Silverhand, when the game comes out April 16th, 2020.
