The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed thousands of women out of the workforce, but Airbnb is helping some of them take business into their own hands.
Stephanie Ruiz, Airbnb's regional communication lead for Latin America, says the community has always been powered by women.
"Fifty-five percent of our hosts globally are women," she said. "We've seen women turn to Airbnb over the years for various reasons, like extra income to support families, and in some cases have actually turned hosting into a full time career."
As people become more and more eager to travel, the Airbnb business is booming. If you're interested in hosting or looking to take a trip, head to https://www.airbnb.com/
