Backpack Drive-Thru For Military Families, Food Supplied By Miami Dolphins

Mission United Continues Supporting Military Families During Covid-19

Military families received food and back-to-school care packages this week in Fort Lauderdale.

It was the annual backpack giveaway organized by United Way of Broward County’s Mission United. Except this year, with Covid-19, they had to organize a drive-thru.

More than 400 backpacks filled with school supplies were handed out.

And military families also got pre-packaged dinners, courtesy of the Miami Dolphins Foundation.

Mission United is a critical program that supports U.S. military service members, veterans and their families in Broward County.
