Just in time for Fourth of July Broadway’s hit musical "Hamilton" is hitting Disney Plus on July 3rd. The show’s music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda tells the story of American founding father, Alexander Hamilton.
Originally, Hamilton the Movie was set to hit Disney Plus on October 15th 2021. But as the pandemic hit and all the live performances were canceled, Disney decided to move up the release date.
The show’s music draws heavily from Hip Hop as well as R&B, Pop and Soul. The movie was filmed in New York at the Richard Rodgers Theater in June 2016 and it features the original Broadway cast.
