After an undefeated inaugural season the McDougle Technical Institute Prep football team finally got to celebrate its title with a special drive-through ring ceremony.
Because of the pandemic the 30 players did not get their rings back in April during graduation, instead they had to wait until July 24th to collect their bling at the Pompano Citi Centre Parking lot.
Thanks to their impressive season Coach Norm Richards said most of his players received college scholarships. “We are so proud of these young men and what they accomplished during our first season,” added Richards. Heading into the 2020 season, MTI Prep currently has 80 Student Athletes enrolled. Derrick Crudup Jr now coaches MTI Prep Bison football team. Richards was promoted to Head Coach of the newly created MTI Junior College.
Founded by retired NFL player Stockar McDougle, MTI is a vocational, post-graduate prep program.

MTI Prep offers student housing, food service, athletics and a campus-life experience for student’s ages 16 to 21. MTI Prep says it is the only Vocational Post Grad Prep School that focuses on college and career prep.
Not every student is college bound, some students want to be able to learn a trade and become gainfully employed and MTI says they are proud to be a solution for student athletes who may want a second chance to go to college and the student athletes who want to learn a trade and enter the workforce. Our goal is to help student athletes become successful both on and off the field.
The Vocational program offers sports and wellness programs such as Massage Therapy, Barbering and certification courses. Financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify, making it an affordable option for students and parents that need the opportunity.
