Since 2000, Early Learning Coalition of Broward has been providing quality care and early education learning to students across the county. Now, they continue to help with early learning during quarantine.
The coalition is the local administrator for state and federal early learning funds, which they use for two programs. The first is for low income families, so they can work or attend school while knowing their child is in an educational ad nurturing environment. The other is the voluntary pre-k program, that's for all 4 year olds, which is free and prepares them for kindergarten.
The most impactful learning your child can get is from you. Many parents have been able to take advantage of this during quarantine with the extra time they're spending at home with family. The coalition says you can turn pretty much any activity into a learning opportunity, and these moments will help better prepare your child for the rest of their educational journey.
