Michelob Ultra has been changing the brewing industry by creating the first USDA certified organic lager, and now they're taking an extra step to harness solar power for the brewing process.

The Michelob Ultra Pure Gold will be brewed using 100% solar power. Ricardo Marques, VP of marketing at Michelob Ultra, says he believes this is something beer drinkers are asking for.

"More than ever people are looking for sustainable, organic products," he says. "That's exactly why we look at sustainability as a core part of everything we do, and that's also why we're committed for the long run."

With the solar power initiative, the company will be able to offset more then 2,500 tons of CO2 every year. Marques says the Anheuser-Busch company hopes to brew all their products from all their brands in a sustainable way by 2025.

"This is not a PR stunt, it's a long term commitment," he says.

The company has also teamed up with Latin music star Maluma to promote the commitment. The singer, who also shares a passion for nature and sustainability, has created an anthem for the beer using sounds of the sun.
