and last updated

Microsoft has released a new Office app for IOS and Android. While the software giant has had separate versions of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. The new Office app is designed to combine them into a single download.

You’ll be able to access recent documents in the app or even create new ones using the ability to scan text or tables from your phone. There’s a prominent actions section that includes the ability to transfer files from your computer to a phone, convert images into text or tables, scan pictures into PDF's, and even scan QR codes.

The app is free to use, even without signing in. An Office 365 or Microsoft 365 subscription will also unlock various premium features, consistent with those in the current Word, Excel and Powerpoint apps.
