On Monday morning the City of Miami opened applications for its Eviction Prevention Program for eligible renters. Applications will be open through August 14.

The program provides a one-time payment of up to $3,500 for renters who have lost their job or had an income reduction after March 1 due to COVID-19.

Applications are available online for download here and in paper format for pick up, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., outside of the Miami Riverside Center main entrance, 444 SW 2 Ave., Miami, FL 33130.

The program has over $300,000 in funding and can help about 85 households, according to the press release. Applications will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Applying for this program does not guarantee that the applicant won't be evicted.
