Broward county has launched its residential online assistance program. Applications will be accepted through September 6.
Qualified applicants impacted by COVID-19 can receive up to five months of rental assistance. This will be funded by federal CARES Act money.
The $25 million program will provide between 60 percent and 75 percent of assistance to residents for unpaid rents from April to August. Landlords must agree to participate and accept partial rent as full payment.
The county says that if you apply for this program and are not approved, there are multiple other programs that are available to help. Regardless of if your loss of income is related to the pandemic or not, click here to find out more about these programs.
