On Friday, Miami-Dade mayor Carlos Gimenez directed Miami-Dade police to resume the enforcement of evictions filed on or before March 12.
The limited resumption of evictions will be subject to the CDC's order, which allows for federal eviction relief until December 31 to eligible persons. The resumption of evictions also follows the expiration of Governor Ron DeSantis's executive order regarding evictions.
