MIAMI, Fla. — Royal Caribbean announced Tuesday that it's suspending sailings through the end of April.

In a press release, Royal Caribbean Group said the cancellations were necessary so they could continue to "focus on the healthy and safe return to cruising for guests, crew and the communities we visit."

The company said cruises on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Azamara were suspended through April 30.

Sailings on the Spectrum of the Seas are suspended from Feb. 16 through Feb. 28, the company said.

The May 1 cruise on the Celebrity Apex was also suspended.

Europe and transatlantic cruises on Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Constellation to occur May through Oct. 2021 were also suspended.

The company added that cruises on Silversea are suspended through April 1.

Quantum of the Seas cruises are excluded, the company said.
