A Florida man was arrested Tuesday after he changed the governor's primary address in the state's voter database, authorities said.

Anthony Guevara, 20, faces two felony counts of property crimes and altering voter registration without knowledge or consent.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee notified Collier County Sheriff's Office detectives of potential voter fraud.

According to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report, Gov. Ron DeSantis attempted to vote early at his assigned polling location Monday when he was told that someone had altered his primary address in the Florida voter database. The new address listed was for an apartment on Pretty Lane in West Palm Beach.

DeSantis, who did not authorize the change, immediately notified the FDLE.

A review of the database logs showed that the address change was requested from an IP address assigned to Guevara's home in Naples.

FDLE special agents and Collier County deputies executed a search warrant at the home and found Guevara's computer. Investigators said forensic evidence showed that there were Google searches for "Florida my vote" and "Florida governor." Investigators said further evidence showed that Guevara had visited DeSantis' Wikipedia page and had accessed the Florida voter website.

Guevara was arrested and booked into the Collier County jail, where he remained Wednesday morning.
